pension to ex-MLAs by Govt. of
Odisha
Dear friends
RTI Application was
filed to the PIO, office of Odisha Legislative Assembly seeking
information about details of pension provided to former MLAs in Odisha.
On 18.11.20, the PIO
has provided the following
information.
1.
Total no. of 380
ex-MLAs are receiving pension
amount from Govt. of Odisha .
2.
The monthly pension amount ranges
from Rs. 30,000.00 to Rs. 70,000.00.
3.
The State Govt. provided medical allowance Rs. 2000.00
to each ex-MLA per month.
4.
The State
Govt. budgeted around Rs. 20
crore per year
towards payment of
monthly pension and medical allowances of ex-MLAs .
Ex-MLAs receiving more that Rs. 50,0000 monthly pension is as
